My 2 cents to Donny Deutsch and The Big Idea show tonight…

I soooooo agree with your caller Craig tonight. Why did your guys keep cutting him off? He has brought up a huge issue that hardly gets any air time! When he addressed the issue of what Hershey is doing laying off American workers and moving to Mexico Jeff Macke shoots him down and asks does he want to pay $10 for a candy bar!

That is not the main reason Hershey and almost every big American company in the US has sold their soul abroad. The real reason is GREED! Hello! You mean to tell me the experts on your show have not heard that sucking sound of our jobs gone abroad? Heck I’m just a hard working small business person who doesn’t know near as much as the guys on the show tonight (who by the way I really have enjoyed them but cant believe they are not on this) but I DO KNOW you loose all the jobs we have over the past 10 years its gonna bite us in the butt!

No work, No Money!!!
I know this has happened, it is factual as I worked in the US manufacturing sector in the early 2000′s. These companies like HP, Walmart and on and on who got their start here in our country have sold their loyalty to the USA by now being a so-called “Global” company so they don’t have to play fair here in the US. Give us a BREAK! Traitors is what they are in my book.

Look, many of them have spent millions of dollars investing and building infrastructure in these foreign countries so they could setup shop abroad and stake their claim on the new promise lands!! They would be NOTHING without us US Consumers, workers and ingenuity!

Think about it…tonight the guys on the show said we gotta create jobs! What companies are going to do that when they have easy access to cheap labor and can undercut American Main Street. This makes no sense…am I the only one seeing this?

Yes, it’s true. I’m a Donny Deutsch, Big Idea on CNBC fanatic! I watch the show almost every night. Hey, I learn a lot off this show and I love Donny. But tonight’s show got me a bit worked up!

Why? Well they have had a lot of experts on the show talking about why we are having such crisis and of course there are many different opinions about this but I never here anyone talk about the fact the day of status quo is dead!!!! The old business models that have been in place not only are not working like they used to but they are failing apart. We are just begining to see this played out in our economy.

So being the opinionated one I am, I wrote in to the show to express my views on this then I decided to post what I wrote on my blog too because…I can. I don’t have to ask the government if I can or the banks, or the credit card company or GM…you get me.

Here it is…
Since the crisis started unfolding here in America I have not really seen much focus or talk on the fact that what is really happening in this country is every business sector out there are going to go through a major shift because almost every business model that has been in place for years is crumbling. The music industry has been a most recent notable examples of this. The reason this is happening is mainly because of revolution of new technology and the digital business divide going on.

However, this is also occurring because there is a major change going on in the way people are feeling about things, in the way they are collaborating with others like never before and becoming a unified voice, the way they are fed up with status quo! They now have incredible means and the tools to do something about it and their ingenuity and resourcefulness will free them from excepting what the “models” have dished out all these years. Instead of being a hostage to these old models and ways of doing business they will find it their way, create it their way, make it better their way, spend their money on what they value and what serves their means. We are no longer hostage to the old “models” and businesses will not be able to stay in business without a major reinvent!

And here’s another part of this I see happening…many companies (like the automakers, wall street, manufacturers) will not survive because they will keep the old model thinking people in power and just add bandaides like hiring a few ‘out of the box’ thinkers to make it look like they are with it but they are still doing a dressed up version of “old model”. Until companies are ready to change their top-down old model way of doing business, build their business around the consumer (REALLY) and get fresh new thinking calling the shots… they will go down with the captain!

BUT HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS…the small businesses, entrepreneur thinking business can compete head on with the and win tons of business from these dinosaurs. There is hope for small business people! Yahoo!
