When hard means good
By Hazel on Feb 12, 2009 in Featured
Today I read a post from a new blog I subscribed to at the beginning of the year. I was first intrigued by the name of the blog (Cubicle Nation) but as I began to read the posts I really liked the point of view the author (Pam) had. I have found her posts to be most helpful to me personally in business and in the area of this thing we call living.
Today’s post was so good I had to write about it and share it with you. You see, Pam talks about what I would call a paradox in that hard can mean good or often brings good. Isn’t it human nature we want things easy and we have come to equate true success with ease and ‘instant’.
Listen, I have been in business for myself long before it was fashionable to be an entrepreneur or before technology made it as easy (there’s that word again) as it is for many of us. And I can tell you first hand it has been very hard at times. Yes, I admit I have not liked it nor have I completely been at ease with the fact I may never reach the level of success I have seen others in my field achieve. But…I stay at it and can say the difficulties, challenges, and detours have shaped my character personally and the degree of my business expertise. If I am truthful with myself…I probably would not be (I know I would not be!) as good at what I do had it not been for ‘HARD”!
For those of you who find your business is just not taking off like you hoped or need it to, do yourself a favor and read what Pam posted today and pass it on to someone else will ya?
